A New Chapter: The Cozy Nook Is Coming Home

Sometimes, growing as a creator means realizing that the things you’ve built separately don’t always have to stay separate.

Before I get into everything, though, I also want to say I’m sorry I’ve been so quiet lately. I know I haven’t been posting nearly as much as I used to, and there’s been a lot going on behind the scenes that has made it harder for me to sit down and write the way I normally do.

I never really stopped wanting to write or create. Sometimes life just gets busy, complicated, and overwhelming, and unfortunately, the blog was one of the things that had to take a back seat for a while.

I’m hoping this next chapter gives me a chance to get back to doing more of what I love.

And honestly, that leads into the reason I’m writing this post today.

There’s a change I’ve been thinking about for a while, and it’s something I wasn’t completely sure about at first.

If you know me and Anubis, you probably already know that we do a lot together. We stream together, we game together, we co-stream, we create content together, and we’ve even written things together before. So when Anubis first brought up the idea of merging our websites and creating one shared blog, my first reaction was honestly, I don’t know.

Not because I thought it was a bad idea. Quite the opposite. I actually really liked the idea. I just wasn’t sure how well our two creative styles would mesh, or how much work it would take to reorganize everything and move my content over.

The Cozy Nook has been my own little corner of the internet for a long time, and I’ve put a lot of myself into it. So the idea of combining it with someone else’s creative space was something I needed to really think about.

But the more we talked about it, the more the idea started to make sense.

We already create together in so many other parts of our lives. Why not create a shared space where our writing, ideas, projects, and other creative work can exist together too?

So, after giving it a lot of thought, I decided that The Cozy Nook will eventually be closing as its own WordPress site, and my creative work will be moving over to a new shared home with xunholyanubisx.

We’re bringing our creative worlds together and building one shared space: Papyrus of xAnubisx.

This isn’t the end of my writing.

If anything, I think it’s the beginning of something bigger.

Two Creators. One Creative Space.

Anubis and I actually started our blogs around the same time. His .online site came together a little before mine, and his grew faster than The Cozy Nook did. I’m honestly really proud of him for that. He put a lot of effort into pushing his site, sharing it, and getting his work out there in a way that I didn’t always do with mine.

Over time, we’ve both developed our own creative interests, projects, writing, music, stories, and ideas. And while we have a lot of interests in common, our actual writing styles can be pretty different.

My writing tends to lean more toward the liminal, cosmic, emotional, and sometimes darker sides of creativity. His writing leans more toward ancient history, mythology, poetry, and the worlds surrounding those subjects.

And I actually think that difference is one of the things that makes this idea work.

We don’t have to write the same way.

We don’t have to create the same things.

We just need a space where both of us can create, share, and grow.

Instead of continuing to maintain two separate websites and splitting our work between different spaces, we’re going to build one shared creative home where both of our voices can exist.

Papyrus of xAnubisx already has a foundation built around ancient history, poetry, legends, storytelling, and creative work. Now we’re expanding that space to make room for more of what both of us create.

That means my writing will be finding a new home there too.

Some of the things you’ve come to find on The Cozy Nook will eventually make their way over, along with new stories, creative projects, recipes, experiments, and probably a few things neither of us has thought of yet.

And honestly, I’m excited to see what happens when two very different creative styles have a place to exist side by side.

What Will You Find on the New Site?

One of the things we’re working toward is creating clear spaces for both of us while still leaving room for our work to overlap when we collaborate.

The categories are still a work in progress, so this list may change as we continue building and reorganizing the site.

For now, some of the areas we’re working toward include:

🏺 Ancient Egypt & Mythology
✒️ Poetry
📜 History & Legends
✍️ Creative Writing
🌙 Personal Reflections
🍲 The Cozy Kitchen
🎵 Music & Creative Projects
🖤 Gaming / Culture / Commentary
📝 Collaborative Works

Some of these spaces will naturally lean more toward one of us, while others will be shared. And as we continue figuring everything out, those lines may shift a little.

The important part is that we’re not trying to make everything look like it came from one person.

We want our individual voices to stay recognizable.

When you read something written by me, you’ll know it’s mine.

When you read something written by him, you’ll know it’s his.

And when we create something together, you’ll know it’s something we built together.

Even The Cozy Kitchen is coming along for the journey. The recipes, food ideas, and cozy creations I’ve shared through The Cozy Nook will have a place within our new home too.

Why Make the Change?

The Cozy Nook has been an important part of my creative journey. It gave me a place to write. A place to experiment. A place to share thoughts, stories, ideas, recipes, and pieces of myself that didn’t always have another place to go.

But sometimes a creative space reaches a point where you realize it can become something more.

Instead of maintaining two separate sites, we’re choosing to build one shared creative space that represents both of us.

It’s not about abandoning what I’ve built.

It’s about carrying it forward.

The Cozy Nook helped me find my voice. Now I’m bringing that voice with me into something new.

What Happens to The Cozy Nook?

The transition won’t happen overnight.

I’ll be working on moving and reorganizing my content so that the pieces that deserve to continue living online have a place on the new site.

I’ll also be taking this opportunity to look through older posts and decide what should come with me, what might need updating, and what may simply belong to an earlier chapter of my journey.

Eventually, The Cozy Nook WordPress site will be closed.

But the writing doesn’t disappear.

The recipes don’t disappear.

The memories don’t disappear.

They move.

They evolve.

And they become part of something we’re building together.

A Shared Home, Without Losing Ourselves

One of the things I’m most excited about is that this won’t mean either of us has to give up our individual identities as creators.

Velvet LunaXO will still be Velvet LunaXO.

xunholyanubisx will still be xunholyanubisx.

We’re simply creating a shared space where both of us can grow.

Think of it as two creative paths finally meeting at the same crossroads.

Some paths will remain completely our own.

Some will cross.

And some will become roads that we build together.

Welcome to the Next Chapter

I’m honestly excited about what this means.

We’re not simply combining two websites.

We’re combining ideas, creativity, stories, and different perspectives into one place.

There will still be plenty of room for my voice, my writing, my recipes, and the things I’m passionate about.

There will also be room for xunholyanubisx’s work, his stories, poetry, music, historical interests, and creative projects.

And hopefully, somewhere along the way, we’ll create things together that neither of us would have made alone.

So if you’ve followed me through The Cozy Nook, supported my writing, tried one of my recipes, read my posts, or simply stopped by every once in a while—thank you.

Thank you for being part of that chapter.

The Cozy Nook has been a home for my words, my recipes, my ideas, and pieces of my creative journey.

Now those things are coming with me.

And when the time comes to close that door, I hope you’ll follow me into the next one.

The next chapter is waiting.

Find us at Papyrus of xAnubisx:

Where ancient history meets poetry, stories, creativity, recipes—and now, two creators building something together.

Welcome to the next chapter.
