Comfort Games & Quiet Rituals

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about comfort — not the big dramatic kind, but the small everyday things that soften the edges of life a little.

For me lately, that’s been Destiny 2.

There’s something calming about its worlds. Some are vibrant and alive, while others feel abandoned and desolate in a strangely beautiful way. Sometimes I log in just to wander for a while. To exist somewhere quiet. To stare at the skyboxes longer than I probably should.

And outside of gaming, I’ve found comfort in crocheting.

There’s something grounding about sitting with coffee in hand, a familiar show playing in the background for the hundredth time, and just creating something slowly stitch by stitch. No pressure. No rush. Just repetition in the gentlest way possible.

I think we all end up building little rituals that help us breathe easier.

Maybe comfort isn’t always excitement or productivity.
Maybe sometimes it’s simply returning to the things that make the world feel softer for a little while.

So now I’m curious:

What’s your current comfort game?
Or what’s been your comfort activity lately?
